Aker Ink Receives Women-owned Business Certification from Women’s Business Enterprise National Council
To bolster expansion efforts in existing and new markets, Aker Ink has been certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) by the Women’s Business Enterprise Council (WBENC).
In order to achieve certification, businesses must be at least 51 percent owned, controlled, operated, and managed by a women or women and must complete an in-depth application process. This certification is widely recognized by more than 1,000 corporations, and state and federal government entities.
“This certification affirms Aker Ink’s status as a leading, women-owned business and opens doors for new opportunities. It also helps us better meet the needs of B2G and public clientele,” said Aker Ink President Andrea Aker.
WBENC certification is one of the most widely recognized and respected certifications in the nation. The organization is a leading advocate for female business owners and entrepreneurs, facilitating the development and growth of women-owned businesses through certification, educational programming, business resources and more.
