An Account Coordinator assists the PR and marketing teams in implementing multi-faceted communications strategies. An entry-level position, the Account Coordinator is responsible for completing administrative duties, research, reporting, media monitoring, standard writing assignments and other tasks that are needed to deliver superior client outcomes.

  • 1 – 3 years professional experience in PR, marketing, communications or journalism. Internships count toward professional experience. Agency internships are highly preferred.

Account Executive

An Account Executive assists the PR and marketing teams in implementing multi-faceted communications strategies, including managing project plans and timelines as directed by senior leadership. An Account Executive ensures client projects are completed efficiently with the utmost quality.

The Account Executive carries out media outreach, social media outreach and marketing communication tactics outlined within a strategy. Account Executives contribute to the planning and research necessary to create a strategy that is largely driven by senior leadership. They also interact with and manage projects with Aker Ink’s strategic partners.

Account Executives handle in-depth writing assignments, including press communications, award entries and content marketing pieces, as assigned. They actively pitch a range of local, national and trade media, so relationship-building skills are imperative. Further, Account Executives play an integral role with social media execution, creating content and unique concepts attuned to business goals.

  • 4+ years professional experience in PR, marketing, communications or journalism
  • Bachelor’s degree in PR, marketing, communications, journalism or related field
  • Proficient in AP Style
  • Proficient with social media tools and networks, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter
  • Experience with Cision for media list development and research is preferred

Senior Account Executive

A demonstrated account leader, a Senior Account Executive works closely with leadership to define client goals and strategies, create and execute multi-faceted PR and marketing plans, and collaborative with team members to accomplish account goals.

Strategic, creative and resourceful, a Senior Account Executive has superior planning and writing skills, as well as established relationships with key media, influencers and business/community leaders. They are excellent problem solvers,  drive creative campaign concepts, understand resource allocation and ensure all account activities are results-oriented and goal-focused.

With minimal direction, the Senior Account Executive resolves client challenges and motivates team members. The ideal candidate can juggle multiple projects at once while meeting deadlines and implementing processes to help both Aker Ink and clients operate more efficiently.

  • 8+ years professional experience in PR, marketing, communications or journalism (agency experience highly preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in PR, marketing, communications, journalism or related field
  • Proficient in AP Style
  • Proficient with Cision for media list development and research
  • Experience with WordPress and/or related content management systems for updating website copy and publishing blogs
