A transformational business leader and expert digital strategist, Lauren Garstecki serves as the Managing Director of Aker Ink. She oversees account teams and develops marketing programs that generate the highest level of results, ensuring campaigns are executed with creativity, resourcefulness and a critical eye.

During the past two decades, Lauren has demonstrated expectational skill in steering cross-disciplinary teams and guiding complex business development strategies for a range of organizations from startup through Fortune 500. She brings expertise in healthcare, financial services, CPG, food and beverage, manufacturing and beauty/fashion brands.

Lauren possesses a deep understanding of the latest trends and technologies in the digital space, enabling her to quickly identify new opportunities for growth, awareness and greater ROI. She expertly leverages an in-depth knowledge base ― spanning website architecture, design and development, data and analytics, performance marketing, marketing automation, online advertising, SEO/SEM and social media marketing ― to drive client success through myriad channels. An innate planner who excels in navigating high-pressure situations and accelerated timelines, she’s incredibly respected and trusted among Aker Ink team members, partners and clients.

Prior to Aker Ink, Lauren held increasing roles in account management and executive leadership at a prominent Milwaukee-based digital marketing and advertising agency. Most recently serving as Senior Vice President – Client Services, she was entrusted to segue clients into modern trends, grow profitability, drive market expansion and lead organizational change. Additionally, Lauren served as a digital strategy consultant for enterprise-level organizations, advising on digital transformations and high-impact solutions yielding positive business results.  

Lauren earned a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising & PR, magna cum laude, from University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. She has additional executive training in context and road mapping, organic growth and leadership development.

When she’s not devising new strategies or pouring through analytics, Lauren dedicates time to a bevy of fitness activities on land and water. You may also find her dreaming up her next international adventure.

  • Passion for Health & Fitness: Part fitness enthusiast and part daredevil, Lauren loves a good workout in any environment. Her mainstays include Orange Theory, Pilates, hiking, paddleboarding, wakeboarding, wake surfing and skiing (especially in those lush Colorado mountains).
  • Globetrotter: Lauren thrives on international adventures. Her favorite spots to date include Italy, Greece and South of France. Portugal and Croatia are next up on her lengthy list.
  • Animal Lover: Lauren adores animals of shapes and sizes, though she’s especially fond of her own fur baby, Cowboy, a Jack Russel/Beagle with a heart of gold.
