Full Biography

Equally intuitive and intentional, Senior Designer & Multimedia Specialist Mariana Cabrera leads the development of strategic visual design solutions that strengthen brands and elevate user experiences. She translates business objectives into compelling creative across digital and print platforms, ensuring design is not only visually engaging but purposeful and performance-driven.

Mariana’s expertise spans brand identity systems, marketing collateral, ad creative and campaign design, as well as multimedia content including animation, motion graphics, illustration and video. With a strong foundation in user experience principles, she designs with clarity and usability in mind — creating intuitive digital pathways that guide audiences seamlessly from awareness to action. She works closely with content and marketing teams to maintain alignment across messaging, design and overall strategy.

Certified in AI for Designers and User Experience through the Interactive Design Foundation, Mariana stays current on evolving technologies and behavioral insights, applying modern tools and best practices to create thoughtful, human-centered design.

Mariana joined Aker Ink in 2024 as a Multimedia Specialist. Previously, she led a team of nine designers at a digital agency in Guatemala, advancing from Interactive Senior Designer to Creative Director while delivering measurable creative results for a diverse portfolio of brands. Earlier in her career, she oversaw an illustration and design team focused on developing children’s educational materials.

When she’s not working, Mariana is still a creative at heart. She’s a dedicated arts-and-crafter, video gamer and movie lover.
