Aker Ink is thrilled to welcome Tim Gallen as our newest Account Executive. With extensive experience in journalism and storytelling, he helps identify compelling narratives and storytelling opportunities to position clients for growth.
“As a former journalist with deep digital expertise, Tim is a natural fit for Aker Ink,” said Aker Ink President Andrea Aker. “He knows what makes a great story, how to tell a great story and how to get that story noticed. He also thinks creatively and is willing to experiment – two fundamental traits of any successful PR pro.”
Previously, Tim served as Digital Editor for the Phoenix Business Journal. He collaborated with other editors and reporters to devise and implement strategies to meet monthly web traffic goals and create content for a business professional audience. Additionally, he edited, created, curated and published content across the publication’s digital channels including the website, social media and email newsletters with an eye toward reaching goals and driving audience growth. An award-winning journalist, Tim crafted news articles and other content on a wide range of topics pertinent to the greater Phoenix business community spanning restaurants, retail, small business, technology, real estate and the economy, diving into business operations, innovations and the latest industry trends.
“I couldn’t be more excited to join the Aker Ink team,” Tim said. “I am eager to use my existing skills to drive results for clients, as well as expand my abilities as a new PR professional. Everyone has been extremely welcoming, and I couldn’t ask for a better team.”
A former military brat who grew up in Glendale, Ariz., Tim ventured out of state for college, attending Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Wash., where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a journalism emphasis.
Outside of work, Tim is an avid reader and writer, often escaping into fantasy and science fiction stories and worlds. Tim also enjoys exploring new places, traveling and spending time with his wife and young son.
