UMOM New Day Centers, Arizona’s largest shelter for families experiencing homelessness, recently appointed Senior Content Manager Hannah Pollard to its Young Professionals Board. The group of 20 diverse community leaders under 40 aims to engage and inspire the next generation of supporters while spreading local awareness of the organization’s services.

As a committed ambassador for the nonprofit, Hannah will join fellow board members in coordinating and promoting a range of mission-driven networking, volunteering, fundraising and advocacy initiatives. Her marketing and content expertise will bring additional value, supporting written promotional communications as needed to help drive further interest and engagement.

“UMOM’s values align closely with my own. I’ve always been drawn to opportunities where I can work one-on-one with families and children in need, help them get back on their feet and make a memorable impact on their lives,” Hannah said. “I’ve already had a chance to connect with some residents directly, and seeing their genuine appreciation firsthand has felt incredibly meaningful.”

Along with individual contributions like Hannah’s, Aker Ink frequently gives back to the community through quarterly volunteer events. Most recently, the team helped an animal shelter prepare for its open-house adoption event, assembled school supply kits for kids across the Valley and tended to a neighborhood garden.
