She joined Aker Ink as Content Specialist and, after consistently delivering exceptional work, was promoted to Content Manager. Always up for a challenge, Taylor is a key figure in developing and executing content marketing strategies that align with our clients’ organizational short- and long-term goals. She’s able to seamlessly switch among tone, format and style as needed, while maintaining quality and amplifying brand voice. A diligent writer, Taylor offers an extensive portfolio showcasing in-depth journalistic work, essays, blogs and web copy, with a particular focus on small businesses, sustainability, food, travel and entertainment. Before joining Aker Ink, Taylor worked as a prolific freelancing writer, penning articles for Flag Live!, LA-based Locale magazine, Flood magazine, The Clever Root and travel startup Culture Trip. She also established and operated blogs for Arizona’s medical dispensary High Mountain Health and the Los Angeles-based slow fashion label Filosofia.
Graduating Magna Cum Laude from Northern Arizona University, Taylor earned a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Political Science. While at NAU, she worked at The Lumberjack student-run newspaper as a respected journalist and Culture Editor. As Editor, Taylor mentored a team of journalists and collaborated with the editorial staff to produce the weekly section.
Dedicated to continual education and expanding her skillset, Taylor completed the Content Marketing Institute’s certification program, earned Hubspot’s Content Marketing certification and completed coursework for Advanced Google Analytics.
Taylor has been fortunate to travel extensively, spending time abroad during her undergraduate degree. Her top destinations are Naoshima Island in Japan and Arhus, Denmark. When she’s not writing, volunteering in her neighborhood park or plotting her next trip, Taylor Renee can usually be found curled up on the couch with a strong cup of coffee, a good book and her beloved cat named Oatmeal.
