About the Company

What makes Aker Ink different from other PR and marketing agencies?

Aker Ink offers a broad range of PR, marketing and digital services under one roof, giving clients one strategic partner instead of multiple disconnected vendors. Just as important, our specialists do not work in silos. They collaborate around shared goals so messaging, campaigns and channels support one another rather than compete for attention or budget.

We also take the time to understand each client’s business, audience, resources and priorities before recommending an approach. That leads to more thoughtful strategies, more cohesive execution and a stronger focus on meaningful business results rather than activity for activity’s sake or vanity metrics.

What does it mean to be a “full service” agency?

A full-service agency provides the range of expertise needed to support a company’s broader communications and growth goals through one strategic partner. At Aker Ink, that includes public relations, content, digital marketing and advertising, social media, websites, SEO, GEO and related services.

Clients can engage Aker Ink for a focused need or a comprehensive program that brings multiple disciplines together. The advantage is not simply convenience. It allows strategy, messaging and execution to remain consistent across channels while reducing the time and complexity of managing multiple agencies or vendors.

What types of businesses and industries does Aker Ink typically work with?

Aker Ink works with growth-oriented B2B and B2C organizations of all sizes, from startups and small to midsize businesses without an internal marketing team to larger companies seeking specialized expertise or added support for an existing department.

Common client industries include professional services, financial services, law, health care, health and wellness, manufacturing, real estate, senior living, technology, construction and trades, transportation and associations. Many of these sectors are complex or highly regulated, requiring careful messaging, specialized knowledge and a thoughtful approach.

These industries represent where Aker Ink has considerable experience, but they are not the only ones we serve. We also work with organizations in other sectors when their needs align with our capabilities, values and mission.

Does Aker Ink work with businesses outside of Arizona?

Yes. Aker Ink is based in Scottsdale, Arizona. While we are recognized as one of Arizona’s top agencies, our work isn’t limited to the state. We have helped companies nationwide break barriers, engage new audiences and exceed lead-generation goals.

Services & Support

Can Aker Ink support my current in-house marketing team?

Yes. We offer hands-on or hands-off flexibility — you can stay in the day-to-day or let the team take the wheel with full-scope management. Superior project management and proactive communication keep initiatives moving regardless of your level of involvement.

Do I have to hire Aker Ink for everything, or can I engage a single service?

Either. Aker Ink offers a full suite of services but works flexibly — from a single focused campaign (say, PR or paid search) to full marketing department management. Because the team is integrated, tactics can flex and expand as your needs evolve.

Can Aker Ink act as my business’s outsourced marketing department?

Yes. Our collaborative approach allows us to seamlessly operate as an extension of your business. For organizations without a full marketing team, we provide strategic leadership, execution and measurable results without the overhead of multiple in-house employees and costly tools. You get CMO-level strategy plus tactical execution from a full team of specialists for roughly the cost of a mid-level employee or two. Learn more about our Marketing Department Management services.

Can Aker Ink audit our current marketing and PR before we commit?

Yes. If you’re unsure whether your initiatives are living up to their potential, Aker Ink can start with an audit to identify gaps and opportunities — for existing PR campaigns, digital efforts or your broader marketing program.

How does Aker Ink use AI in its marketing and PR services?

Aker Ink uses AI to enhance the efficiency, depth and value of our work, not to replace human expertise or judgment. Our team may use it to support research, generate ideas and outlines, analyze trends and performance data, improve consistency and automate routine tasks.

AI is never put on autopilot. Every use is guided by experienced professionals who evaluate the inputs, challenge the outputs and apply strategic thinking, industry knowledge and brand context throughout the process. This helps us work smarter while maintaining the originality, accuracy and quality our clients expect.

How does Aker Ink measure the effectiveness of PR and marketing initiatives?

Aker Ink emphasizes meaningful, measurable impact over vanity metrics. At the outset of an engagement, we establish key performance indicators tied to the client’s business objectives, whether the goal is to increase visibility, strengthen credibility, generate qualified leads, improve search performance, support sales or build engagement with priority audiences.

Because no single metric tells the full story, we evaluate performance across channels and consider how PR, content, digital marketing and advertising, websites and other efforts work together. Reporting is clear and transparent, with context around what the data means, what is driving results and where adjustments may be needed. We also provide actionable recommendations, so reporting serves as a decision-making tool, not simply a recap of activity.

What happens if our business goals or priorities change during our engagement?

Change is a natural part of business, and Aker Ink is structured to adapt with it. Because our PR, marketing, content and creative specialists work together, we can shift strategies, tactics and resources as priorities evolve without losing sight of the broader goals.

For retainer-based engagements, we typically work within a dedicated monthly allocation of time rather than a fixed list of deliverables. This gives us the flexibility to respond to new opportunities, changing market conditions and emerging business needs while keeping the work focused on what will have the greatest impact.

What are client success stories?

How do I get started with Aker Ink?

Start by reaching out through our contact page and telling us about your business, challenges and goals. Whether you need support for a focused initiative or an integrated agency partner, we begin by understanding what you are trying to achieve, what resources are already in place and where the greatest opportunities may be.

Depending on the scope, the next step may include a discovery conversation, audit or Aker Ink Brand Assessment. From there, we recommend an approach tailored to your priorities, budget and internal capacity, with a clear path from strategy through implementation.

Account Management

How does Aker Ink structure pricing?

Aker Ink primarily works through monthly retainers, with project-based engagements available when the scope is clearly defined and a one-time approach makes sense. Retainers are based on a blended agency rate and a dedicated monthly allocation of time.

This structure gives clients access to the right mix of strategy, creative and execution without being limited to a rigid set of deliverables or separate departmental rates. It also allows Aker Ink to shift resources as priorities evolve, while maintaining clear expectations around budget, scope and progress.

How does a retainer work?

Aker Ink’s retainers are based on time rather than a fixed list of tactics. This allows us to shift priorities and resources as business needs, opportunities and market conditions evolve. The size of the retainer determines the pace of execution, breadth of support, level of integration and overall resource allocation.

During the first 30 to 60 days, a portion of the retainer is typically dedicated to onboarding and foundational work. This may include establishing goals, learning the business and industry, refining key messaging, evaluating digital assets and creating efficient workflows for communication, approvals and content development. Investing in this groundwork helps improve the effectiveness of future campaigns.

Third-party expenses, such as advertising spend, newswire distribution, printing, software subscriptions, licensing fees and travel, are not included in the retainer. These costs are either billed directly to the client or invoiced separately with prior written approval.

Retainer agreements are generally available in six-month and one-year terms, with the option to renew.

How does the onboarding process work?

Aker Ink’s onboarding process is designed to give our team a thorough understanding of your business, goals, audiences, industry and internal resources before implementation begins.

Depending on the engagement, onboarding may include:

  • A comprehensive kickoff session, often held in person, to discuss business objectives, priorities, target audiences, stakeholder expectations and measures of success
  • A review of the Aker Ink Brand Assessment and other foundational research
  • An audit of existing messaging, communications, content, digital assets and marketing channels
  • The establishment of workflows for communication, approvals, reporting and content development
  • A shared calendar of campaigns, events and important business milestones
  • Prioritization of initiatives based on potential impact, urgency, budget and available resources

The process typically takes place during the first 30 to 60 days of a retainer, although strategy and execution may begin concurrently when appropriate. This groundwork helps ensure future campaigns are coordinated, realistic and built on a strong foundation.

What does the project management process look like?

At Aker Ink, project management goes beyond overseeing tasks. We anticipate needs, coordinate resources and keep each initiative aligned with your business goals, priorities and timelines.

Your dedicated account manager serves as your primary point of contact and strategic partner. They coordinate closely with specialized team members, manage workflows and deadlines and help ensure resources are allocated effectively without compromising quality. We prioritize responsiveness, collaboration and long-term alignment throughout the engagement.

Our project management process typically includes:

  • One monthly virtual or in-person meeting to review strategies, assess performance, adjust priorities and identify new opportunities
  • A weekly update outlining recent progress, open deliverables and upcoming action items
  • A monthly performance report covering relevant results, such as website analytics, campaign KPIs and media coverage, reviewed during the monthly meeting
  • 24/7 access to an online status report with visibility into active projects, timelines and key deliverables

What does Aker Ink’s reporting process look like?

At the start of an engagement, Aker Ink works with each client to define the key performance indicators most closely tied to their business goals. We establish benchmarks, monitor progress and provide transparent reporting designed to support informed decisions and ongoing optimization.

Reporting typically includes:

  • Weekly updates outlining recent progress, open deliverables and upcoming action items. Clients also have 24/7 access to an online status report showing active projects and priorities.
  • Monthly performance reports reviewed during regular client meetings. These provide an at-a-glance view of the most relevant results, along with context about trends, contributing factors and opportunities for improvement.
  • Semiannual or annual deep dives that examine performance over a longer period, identify key takeaways and inform adjustments to the broader strategy as business needs evolve.

We also offer AI Visibility Tracking for ongoing analysis of how (and how often) your brand appears across AI-driven search.
