Before that, he held PPC, SEO, social advertising, digital QA and account management roles with two digital agencies in the Phoenix area. The adventurous spirit also spent five years in Busan, South Korea teaching English as a Foreign Language.

Raised in Bullhead City, AZ, Matt graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. Realizing he was not, in fact, the next Hunter S. Thompson, he found his professional purpose through travel and the digital world — and since, he’s yet to run into a problem that a good cup of coffee and well-organized spreadsheet can’t fix.

When he’s not working, Matt can typically be found indulging in pretend tea parties with his two young daughters or curled up with a good book.

  • Frequent Flyer: Matt has visited every continent except South America and Antarctica. He hopes to make it down there before it melts.
  • Fantasy Fiend: Matt likes to unwind by getting engrossed in fantasy novels, and he especially enjoys the Stormlight Archive and other Cosmere series by Brandon Sanderson.
  • Gotta Go Fast: Before retiring due fatherhood, Matt was a competitive speedrunner of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past for Super Nintendo. He can still beat the game in about 90 minutes on a good day.
